Happy Easter!

my creative space...

I am happy to say that I have managed to get a bit of creative time in in the last couple of weeks. Firstly I put together these cute little Pom Pom Bunnies as part of the Creative Collective Eggcellent Easter Project.


Then there were the Personalised Egg Keepsakes that I made to put into the kidlets' Memory Boxes. More details on how I made these can be found here.


And finally, I have been slowly but surely still stitching away with the Dinosaur Softie. This project seems to have become the one I sit down with when I have the time or feel like doing something that doesn't take too much of my brain space!

I have never been a big beauty product person. I think the last time I wore make up was the day I got married which was five years ago! I have always thought it would be fun to have a go at making my own scrubs and shampoo but time is not something I have lots of!

The answer is, NO, not when you find a little store on Etsy called Happy Little Things that is full of Washi Tape in amazing patterns and designs, just like those above.

So as I sit here in this little spot each day, blogging, pinteresting, visiting you all and just generally exploring the WWW. I stare straight at our Fridge. Yep, my laptop sits on our kitchen bench and I must say that it rarely gets turned off. As we are yet to decide on what we are going to do house wise I have learn't to make do so the kitchen bench is where most of my crafting and blogging is done.....

I must say that I was definitely the Fridge Police and didn't like anything on the fridge making it look messy so to speak. That was until it was what I stared at when stuck for words whilst blogging etc. So I guess maybe you could class my fridge as my pseudo inspiration board for want of a better term....

So here you go, this is what I am currently looking at on my fridge...


So lots of pretty things hey?!? Here's a closer look....


Of course they can't just be any old magnet that holds my pretty things. They need to be pretty magnets. My little white birds are from Kikki-K, the round 'hey' magnet is from Paper Tree Studio and the cute little owl and bee are from Isabell's Umbrella.


My magnets hold an assortment of pretties. An assortment of mini prints by the gorgeous Kellie from 74 Lime Lane, snail mail from a bloggy friend, an ultrasound photo of Baby H - even though he is here now, I still like having him on the fridge, there is also a copy of his birth announcement in the mix too.

So there you have it, that's what is on my fridge. What does your fridge look like? Is it clean and clutter free? Is it full of pretty things? Or is it covered with bills?

quick three :: boys names i love

Thank God for little boys! I love mine to pieces! My big boy isn't too bad either!

This weeks quick three is easy for me!

Nate - Husband and I loved this name from the get go even before we found out we were pregnant, it was a given that if it was a boy he would be Nate!

Hamish - Again another name that Husband and I liked although it was a lot harder for us to find one that we both liked second time round. We knew we were having a boy but that didn't make it any easier. It was only when we were holding the little guy in our arms that we decided. We were tossing up between two names and just to let you in on a little secret we may have flipped a coin to decide! Lucky we landed on Hamish because I am not a fan of the other name now!

Seth - If we were to have another bub (husband is saying no and the jury is still out with me) and bub was a boy he would be a Seth.

I am excited by all the 'packet mix' (i.e. buy all required items in a pack and make it at home) crafts that are available to buy in the shops lately, expecially with easter just around the corner I found myself with an armload of them!
