nate's 1st year....

So I guess I am posting this looking for someone to tell me that I am not the only one....

Almost two years ago to the day I was shopping with Uber Claire whilst visiting Brisbane (we were living in Darwin at the time) and she bought me this book in anticipation of Baby Ryder's (as Nate was affectionately known for 9 months) arrival....

As you can see the book is in perfect condition. I can hear you all saying what a great job she has done keeping the book looking so nice, but here is the thing, I haven't done a thing with it. Not one entry, not one photo - NOTHING......

I figure seeing as though Baby Ryder #2 is on the way I should pull my finger out and get it done. I have everything I need to complete it - dates of first steps, words etc, photos, hospital id bracelets, the newspaper from the day he was born, a copy of his birth announcement, hair from his first haircut - EVERYTHING I need to complete this book is here safely tucked away in this box.

This is not the only project that I have to get finished, there is the album I am putting together with all the cards we received when the little fella was born, the time capsule I want to put together, the 1st Birthday Album......sigh!

All I am in need of is some time!

Please tell me that I am not the only one who took almost 18 months to complete these important piece of my Baby Boy's history........ANYONE???

Step Sixteen - Corporate Long and Low

You will have noticed that the last couple Thursday's have gone by without my usual photos of my creation from my Flower Class. Well I am back, two more weeks to go and I will now have a couple of lessons later in the year to make up for the missed ones.... Not sure what I will do on Wednesday nights now....

Last night saw a lesson in Corporate Long and Low Arrangements with some beautiful Natives. After a couple of weeks off my flower arranging mojo took a while to return, this is my third attempt after a run in with a rather large banksia that just wasn't working for me! Here are the pics...

They smell amazing and look great sitting on my buffet!

So cold here today, I have just put a hoodie on over two other layers, hope my Sunny Brisbane comes back soon!

Happy Thursday!

three + one = four

Easy equation I hear you say, what is she going on about.....

You may have been wondering who the someone special is that I have referred to a couple of times too...

Well without further ado, I along with Husband and Nate are delighted to announce that we are welcoming another little Ryder to the Family!!

Yep, I am having a baby! Here's the proof, the whole 7.5cm of it!

I do have those 4D photos but they freak me out! So I figured I would share the traditional ultrasound photo with you! Nate was pointing at the screen throughout the scan saying Bubba! Too cute!

Baby Ryder #2 is expected to arrive mid December! Just in time for Christmas! December is becoming quite a busy month for us! But I would not have it any other way! We are very, very lucky!!

Can't get the smile off my face at the minute!

Happy Wednesday!

Oh be still my beating heart.......

Finding this gorgeous blog does not help me with another dilemma I am having. More about this in the next couple of days......

new found blog love....

So stuck again for blogging inspiration (oh how I will have so much to talk about in a couple of weeks though!!) I consulted my super cool friend Claire, who I now think I will affectionately refer to as Uber Claire, for some ideas. Never one to disappoint she sent me the link to this amazing blog that just happens to be by a fellow Brisbanite!

Let me introduce to you The House that A-M Built - sigh......

Image from The House that A-M Built

Some amazing images of A-M's gorgeous home that her and her husband have built from the ground up can be found on this blog. Building this house would have required huge amounts of patience not to mention a whole lot of good taste! Wonder if I will have both of these attributes when it is my turn to build my dream home!!

You can also check out some gorgeous pictures of A-M's home in the June Edition of Australian Home Beautiful. I had to buy it and check it out!

Happy Weekend!

etsy purchase.......

Whilst participating in the Sew! Mama! Sew! Giveaway a few weeks ago I came across the blog of the lovely Tara from Boutique Karma which then lead me to her lovely Etsy Store Boutique Karma.

It was there in her little store that I came across her gorgeous handmade Mug Huggers...

Let's just say I purchased a few, I think that they would make the perfect gift for any coffee or tea drinker!

Check out Tara's little store, there are so many gorgeous items and all so reasonably priced! Tell her I sent you!!

Happy Wednesday!

great weekend, but back to reality.....

So we are back from our little North Queensland escape. The weather was fantastic! So much warmer than home!! It was so nice to spend some quality time with great friends!

There was a little bit of this....

Yep, that would be the view whilst laying flat on my back enjoying the sunshine!!!

A bit of this....

And a bit of Family Love!!

But all good things must come to an end and here we are back at home!

I am busy putting together my first wholesale order to be sent to Victoria, with another one in the pipeline for Adelaide! Very exciting!

Hope you had a great weekend!
