Creative Collective Link Love

Here is my first project for the Creative Collective In the Hoop Project. I first spotted this embroidery pattern on Pinterest and after a little bit of investigating I came across it on the Wild Olive Blog.

I enjoyed stitching this cute pattern. The colours were bright and I do like a bit of relaxing time with the needle and thread!

Have you started your In the Hoop project? Why not share what you are up to and join in with the Creative Collective's Link Love.......

my creative space...

I am happy to say that I have managed to get a bit of creative time in in the last couple of weeks. Firstly I put together these cute little Pom Pom Bunnies as part of the Creative Collective Eggcellent Easter Project.

Then there were the Personalised Egg Keepsakes that I made to put into the kidlets' Memory Boxes. More details on how I made these can be found here.

And finally, I have been slowly but surely still stitching away with the Dinosaur Softie. This project seems to have become the one I sit down with when I have the time or feel like doing something that doesn't take too much of my brain space!

What I have you been up to in your Creative Space?

creative collective link love....

Today I am joining in with the Creative Collective Link Love to share one of my Eggcellent Easter Projects that I have completed.

I am excited by all the 'packet mix' (i.e. buy all required items in a pack and make it at home) crafts that are available to buy in the shops lately, expecially with easter just around the corner I found myself with an armload of them!

I purchased this Easter Pom Pom Kit from Riot Art & Craft for a whole $3.99 and here is the finished product!

creative collective :: february project :: random acts of kindness

Be Inspired
The theme for this project is Random Acts of Kindness!! Traditionally Valentine’s Day is about the one you love, but in this day and age of so many people feeling disconnected from the world we thought it would be nice to go out there and share some love with some strangers.

We’re asking you to create five postcards with a message of love, support, hope, inspiration and leave them in random places through out your town or city. The idea is to leave them as a surprise for someone else to find.

We'd also love for you to put the Creative Collective contact information on them so that people can get online and let everyone know that they've found your special card. To help we've developed a postcard template that can be downloaded from the new Creative Collective Blog. (Instructions for use of template will be provided at the Creative Collective Blog.)

creative collective :: january project

Well here it is, my Creative Collective New Year = New Craft project!

I decided to give Embroidery a try. I had been eyeing off the gorgeous designs in this little Etsy store for a while. The January Creative Collective Project gave me the perfect excuse to pick up a needle and thread and get stitching!

I must admit that I really enjoyed the embroidery. I found it totally therapeutic. I initially had planned on only doing the little gnome peeking out from behind the mushroom but enjoyed it so much that I completed the little mushroom house too!

You can see more completed January Projects in the Creative Collect Flickr Group.

I will be doing a wrap up of my favourite projects soon!
