day one - riding solo
So yesterday was the day that I had been dreading for the last five or so weeks. Why I hear you ask? Well yesterday was the day Husband went back to work and I was home alone with Master N and Baby H. And guess what I lived to tell the tale!
Managed to get more done around and out of the house than I ever thought I would.
Challenge one that I had been most concerned about was Master N's swimming lesson. I must have gone over and over in my head the logistics of firstly, getting out of the house with two kiddies - something that now takes a little longer than with one! Then of course there was the getting Master N undressed and dressed into togs, then getting him out of the pool, getting him dry and getting him dressed all with a 6 week old in tow. Not to mention the numerous negotiations in between, although these seem to be standard with Master N at the moment - I think they call it the Terrible Two's! Well that being said, I managed and with a few encouraging looks of 'we have all been there', from the other Mum's at the pool I figured I wasn't doing too bad! Let's just say that I have no plans to venture out today though!
Got a few things done around the house, changing of sheets - nothing better than starting the week with fresh sheets on the bed, a couple of loads of washing, folding of washing and the vegetables peeled for dinner.
Oh and did I mention that for the first time since we have had Baby H home he decided yesterday was the day that he didn't want to sleep and wanted to be nursed the whole day! Oh the joys!
Can I just say that I am sure that I am no pioneer at any of the above and I know that there are Mum's out there that do these daily chores with a lot more than two little ones - my hat goes off to them!
I also read with interest yesterday this post by Kellie at 74 Lime Lane which linked to this post by Nicole at Planning with Kids. Nicole has some great tips on getting the house clean quickly! I must say that I will be adopting the bathroom caddy idea! I think it is fab! Oh and the dishwasher one - just wondering if I could add a 2 year old to the list!!
So here we are at Day Two - Baby H is in the land of slumber and Master N insisted on watching Shrek - a nice change from Toy Story 1, 2 or 3 I must say! So I must go and get some chores done whilst I have the opportunity!
Have a great Tuesday!
**Oh, on a sidenote I have only just become aware that my bloggy friend Lou from Buttons by Lou Lou has finished up her business. I had been wondering where she had got to but now realise that the day she posted her last post I was preoccupied giving birth! I always enjoyed joining in on her At My House linky post on Mondays - does anyone know if another bloggy friend has taken this over or if there is something similar around?**

at my house.....
It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!
Well there must be something in the air! I have woken up this morning full of excitement and feeling the need to start pulling out and dusting off the Christmas Decorations! Probably very premature but I thought that I would make a start. I have a bit of a list of things that I would love to get done all working around a teal, red and silver theme this year!
I have the placecards for Christmas lunch to do which involves these little pretties from Kaisercraft, will be sure to post a pic when I have worked my magic and they are finished!
I am feeling the need to make some Martha Poms too, so I have the materials ready for those.
I am also going to have a crack at some hanging decorations made from some gorgeous red and white spot paper doilies that I purchased a while back knowing that someday I would find something to do with them!
And finally I cam across this tutorial for some gorgeous paper snowflakes on the Little Paper Lane Blog the other day and thought maybe I could give these a go too?
Over ambitious! Probably but lets see how I go! No doubt I will be ready for a nap by 10.30am!
To see what else is happening grab a cuppa and head on over to Lou's here - by the way Welcome Back Lou! We missed you xx

at my house.....
It has been all tea with lemon and honey, vicks, aloe vera tissues and dettol sanitising gel at my house today. I have a dreaded cold, can't believe I got this far through my pregnancy without a sniffle and here I am at 31 weeks and 3 days (not that I am counting) with a full on cold - runny nose, sore throat, losing my voice, thumping headache kind of cold. You name it I've got it!
Hopefully things will improve and my house will become a happier one soon!

at my house......
Enough of the rain already!!! We left rainy Brisbane on Friday for a weekend away, crossing our fingers that it would be blue skies and sunny where we were headed but no it rained all the way there, the whole time we were there, all the way home and it is still raining. Master N is going stir crazy not being able to get his outside time which in turn is sending Mummy stir crazy! Believe me this rain is not singing in the rain kind of rain if you know what I mean - torrential is a better word for it! Oh the joys!
So at my house today....
I have written another list of things to do and am slowly plodding my way thru it....
Still trying to find inspiration for the Creative Collective Spring Craft Challenge - I might add that the rain is not helping this cause.....
Nesting is in full swing, so strange I had no inclination to nest when I was pregnant with Master N - husband is coping with this by smiling and shaking his head - often!
Lots of orders to fill which is exciting! The weather must be encouraging the online spending!
I am spending far to much time on Twitter now that I have signed up - are you following me yet?
Working on some guest blog posts for the Creative Collective Girls - stay tuned for more info on these.
Oh and transferring all my stuff from my old laptop which I have lost all faith in to a new one - didn't realise how much stuff I had on it! Maybe part of the problem?
To see what everyone else is up to head over to Lou's, that is where I am off to with a cuppa!
Happy Rainy Monday!

at my house.....

I am wondering how much longer it will be before I can't see my little one over the big bump!! I would love to know what he is thinking when he looks up and has to take a step back in order to see me!
I cannot get over the fabulous weather we have had here today after a very miserable weekend. We have spent a fair bit of time outside getting our Vitamin D doses!
All in all it has been another productive day in our household which is always nice. The joys of nesting and things needing to be done NOW!
Not ot mention a bit of excitement in the air and gathering of inspiration for the Creative Collective Spring Craft Challenge. I have no idea what I am going to make but am having fun collecting some things for an inspiration board!
To see what else is happening at everyone else's place head over here....

at my house.....
At my house today we are huddled up inside hiding from the miserable rain outside. We have been so spoilt with fabulous weather for the past week or so that my little one is not happy about not being able to visit the park or be outside on his bike!
At my house today reality has hit and I am now in panic mode about the dwindling time left between now and when Baby Ryder #2 is due to arrive. So many things to fit in before he/she arrives! Eeek!
At my house today I am wondering when is the right time to introduce the Big Boy Bed for Nate. We have just managed to get him sleeping through the night and I don't know if I am ready for a new phase....
At my house today I already have dinner ready! Such an achievement for me!
At my house today Nate has decided to have a sleep, so while he is in sleepy land I am wasting time blogging, what else would one do!
To see what else is happening at other lovely people's places check out Lou's here, that is where I am off to now with a hot cuppa!

at my house.....

We had a list of things to do today and I can happily say that we have ticked all items off the list and are now free to do what we want, think we might slip a nap in sometime and a bit of time in the gorgeous sunshine......
Love these days....
Have a peak through everyone else's windows and see what is happening here.

at my house.....

So I am happy to report that I have detoured off Struggle Street this week and am feeling much better than last!
So at my house today.......
We have had a little lie in this morning which was jusst lovely!
Unpacked from our suprisingly relaxing and enjoyable few days away.
Opened a whole heap of Mail including lots of little parcels from online purchases that I have made lately! I love getting mail!
Done a little (yep, just a little) bit of spring cleaning.
Decided on some wording and invite design for a certain Uber Someone's upcoming 30th!
Decided that a faux baby shower would be a good excuse to do this, the chocolate option of course.
And just generally had a nice day with my little guy!
See what else is happening around the traps here.

at my house......

I am struggling to work up the energy to do what seems like thousands of loads of washing that I just couldn't be bothered to do on the weekend....
I am also struggling to work up the energy to pack bags and get organised for our little getaway that we are going on on Wednesday......
I am struggling to keep up with Nate who seems to have endless amounts of energy!
Seems to be a lot of struggling happening!
At my house I am also busy making stock, packing stock, taking photos of stock and listing stock in the stores!
And right at the moment I am typing this blog post, enjoying a HOT cup of tea and watching The Bold and The Beautiful, luckily it is so easy to follow as it is the first episode I have seen in a while!
Oh and you can catch up with what is happening at everyone else's house here.
Happy Monday!

I am mum to two gorgeous boys Nate & Hamish and wife to the just as gorgeous and very patient Mitch! We live in Brisbane, Queensland. I spend my days running around after my boys and playing with all things paper. I love ALL things craft and spend too much time scouring Etsy, Made It and too many blogs to list, all in the name of research - of course!!
